πŸ› SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL HIGH STREETS

Thank you to everybody who has been shopping locally since lockdown restrictions were eased. I spoke to many business owners and shoppers today in Worksop and it was generally very quiet for a Saturday, even bearing in mind the difficult circumstances.

We really need to do our very best to be positive about our town centres and to promote them, whether that’s locally or to others coming in from outside. We need to see empty shops being filled and more shoppers out and about, increasing the footfall. Otherwise we lose more businesses to out of town retail parks and places like Meadowhall.

One way to help this is by signing up to my free parking campaign. We’ve already had hundreds sign up after only a few days and I’ve been out the last two days giving posters out and getting your feedback in Retford and Worksop. If you’d like one then please let us know.
